Arian ideas which are anathema
|
The bishops at the Council of Nicaea publish a resounding list of heretical notions about the nature of Jesus Christ:
'The catholic church declares anathema all those who say, There was when he was not; and, Before being born he was not; and that he came into existence out of nothing: and all those who assert that the Son of God is of a different substance, or is created, or is subject to alteration or change. These the catholic church anathematizes.'
