Chartwell - 2 miles south of Westerham

House, garden and park bought by a group of friends of Sir Winston Churchill and given to the Trust with an endowment for maintenance. The rooms are furnished much as they were during the time that Sir Winston and Lady Churchill lived at Chartwell. Two rooms, however, have been arranged as a museum. Sir Winston Churchill's studio in the garden, containing many of his paintings, is also open to visitors.
