RICHMOND PALACE

Shene Palace was rebuilt by King Henry VII in 1501 and renamed Richmond. The Palace was regularly used by all the Tudor monarchs: Queen Elizabeth I died there in 1603. The Palace was largely demolished after 1650 during the Commonwealth period.
