Nazi Cigarette Cards, c. 1930s-early 1940s The four cigarette cards featured here are a selection from a series of 70. They came into the possession of a Mr Renton who was working as a British cipher officer in Chile.

The cards were passed from the British Embassy in Santiago to the Foreign Office in London to assist with 'denazification' - - the eradication of nazism and nazi influence from European public life after the second world war.
