(8km/5m SE of Shrewsbury *Roman town, near the village of Wroxeter, established as a camp in about AD 50. It was unusual in becoming a civilian centre, occupied by the local tribe, when the garrison moved in 88 to Chester. The remains include the Roman baths, and a museum tells the story of the site.
