The Two Noble Kinsmen
|
|
(c.1613) A tragi-comedy which may be partly by Shakespeare. It was not included in the *First Folio, but the title page of its first edition (1634) attributes it jointly to Shakespeare and John Fletcher (see *Beaumont and Fletcher). It contains passages which stylistically could be Shakespeare's. The plot is based loosely on Chaucer's 'Knight's Tale', one of The Canterbury Tales.
