Trent Bridge

(Nottingham) County ground of *Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club. A pitch was laid out in 1838 behind the Trent Bridge Inn (still a famous feature just to the west of the ground), and the county club played there from its formation in 1841. Trent Bridge is one of the regular locations for *Test matches (first played at the ground in 1899).
