(also spelt Roubillac, d. 1762) French sculptor, in England from the late 1730s. No fewer than seven monuments in Westminster Abbey are by him; one of the least elaborate is that of *Handel, whose statue he had also done for *Vauxhall Gardens. His informal full-length bust of Shakespeare, commissioned by *Garrick, is in the British Museum.
