Pilgrims' Way
|
|
Prehistoric track travelling along high ground from the coast in Kent towards Wiltshire, following the Downs and the Hog's Back. Though pre-Christian in origin, its present name reflects its use by medieval pilgrims, for two important religious centres, Canterbury and Winchester, are on the route.
