(stage name of Myriam Ramberg, 1888–1982, DBE 1962) One of the founding figures of British ballet through Ballet Rambert (now the *Rambert Dance Company). Born in Warsaw, she danced with Diaghilev's Ballets Russes (1912–13) before opening a ballet school in London in 1920.
