Odd Man Out
|
|
(1947) Film directed by Carol *Reed, based on a novel by F.L. Green, about the last hours of a wounded IRA gunman on the run in Belfast. The black-and-white photography (evocative shadows in dark wet streets) and the tightening of the net on the fugitive (played by James Mason) prefigure another Reed film of two years later, The *Third Man.
