Nantgarw porcelain

A factory was founded in 1813 by William Billingsley (1758–1828) at Nantgarw, just southwest of Caerphilly, and for a few years made a translucent porcelain now much prized by collectors. In 1819 the enterprise was sold to the *Coalport factory.
