London Review of Books
|
|
Fortnightly literary periodical, launched in 1979 when the year-long strike at the *Times had also put out of circulation the Times Literary Supplement. Based on the concept of the New York Review of Books (and for the first issues distributed with the New York paper), the London version soon became independent and was strong enough to survive the return of the *TLS.
