Lancaster

Britain's main heavy bomber in World War II, with a crew of seven or eight; it was manufactured by Avro and was used in operations from 1942. Only the Lancaster could carry the enormous Grand Slam, a bomb of 10,000kg/22,000lb introduced in 1945. It was the plane of the *Dam Busters.
