Lambeth Walk

(London SE11)
Street near Lambeth Palace, made famous by a song and a dance in Me and My Gal, a musical of 1937. With a catchy tune and simple steps (supposedly imitating a cockney walk), both song and dance were a craze during the war:
Any time you're Lambeth way,
Any evening, any day,
You'll find us all
Doing the Lambeth Walk – Oi!
