Cader Idris

(Welsh for 'chair of Idris')
Mountain range near the west coast of Wales, in Gwynedd, rising gradually to the peak known as Pen-y-Gader (892m/2927ft). Idris is a legendary Welsh hero, whose stories feature a magic chair; anyone who sleeps in it wakes up as either a bard or a lunatic.
