(14km/9m NW of Bradford) Village in West Yorkshire, on the edge of the moors, which was the home of the *Brontë family. Their parsonage, at the top of the steep cobbled Main Street, is kept as a museum. At the bottom of the hill, Haworth station is on the Keighley and Worth Valley railway, closed in 1961 and reopened by enthusiasts in 1968. Veteran steam locomotives are run on the 5-mile stretch from Keighley to Oxenhope, which was used for the film The Railway Children (1970).
