Double Gloucester
|
|
The only well-known English variety to preserve, at least in name, the distinction between a single cheese (made with the cream of only one milking and therefore a higher proportion of skimmed milk) and the richer double cheese (made with the cream from the evening and morning milking). It is orange-coloured and mild in flavour.
