St Dunstan

(c.909–88) Abbot of Glastonbury from about 943 and archbishop of Canterbury from 959. A man of considerable learning, he is credited with effecting a revival in monastic standards. Contrary to popular assumption, he was not blind (see *St Dunstan's). His feast day is May 19.
