Aston Martin

|
Outstanding series of sports cars, particularly the DB range in the decades after World War II; DB are the initials of David Brown (b. 1904), who acquired the company in 1946. The DBR won at Le Mans in 1959. The first Aston Martin was built in 1914 by Lionel Martin and was named because of its success in a hill climb at Aston Clinton, on the edge of the Chilterns.
