Order of the Companions of Honour
|
|
The most recent of the orders of chivalry, established in 1917 and awarded to people of distinction in any field (most often politics and the arts). Apart from an occasional honorary foreign member, the number is limited to 65. The order confers no title, but members place the letters CH after their names.
