William and Lawrence Bragg
|
|
Two physicists, father (1862–1942, KBE 1920) and son (1890–1971, kt 1941), who shared the 1915 Nobel prize for their pioneer work in x-ray crystallography. They are the only father and son to have been awarded the prize together, and Bragg junior remains the youngest of Nobel laureates – at the age of only 25.
