Boy's Own Paper

Magazine, at first weekly and then monthly, which was published for almost a century (1879–1967) by the Religious Tract Society. Though intended to be improving, with an emphasis on manly and Christian ideals, it sold extremely well because of the excitement of its adventure stories and public school serials (of which 'The Fifth Form at St Dominic's' was the best known).
