Beachcomber
|
|
Humorous column in the Daily *Express, written 1924–75 by J.B. Morton (John Bingham Morton, 1893–1979). Beachcomber's brilliantly eccentric humour centred on a cast of long-running characters, including Mr Justice Cocklecarrot, Captain Foulenough, the pedantic Prodnose and – best remembered of all – Dr Strabismus (Whom God Preserve) of Utrecht.
